Want to create calligraphy with pointed pen and ink?

Expand your modern calligraphy practice in this supportive, in-person workshop.


In this workshop, you will learn:

  1. How to use a pointed pen holder, nib, and ink;

  2. How to create calligraphy with these tools;

  3. Tips for practicing calligraphy with different types of ink.

Participants should have some basic calligraphy skills including thin upstrokes and thick downstrokes, be able to form the basic shapes that make up the calligraphy alphabet, and create miniscules (lower-case letters). These are taught in my Modern Calligraphy 101 workshop.


Supplies included:

  • Pointed pen nib holder

  • G-type flexible nib

  • Black ink compatible with pointed pen

  • Smooth calligraphy paper compatible with pointed pen and ink
