Catmint botanical illustration print
Not to be confused with catnip, catmints are in the mint family, but much better behaved in the garden. I sketched this plant from one I planted in my Portland, Oregon backyard, where it was covered in bumblebees throughout its flowering season. My cat, Oso (RIP), did love it though.
From my new collection of eight hand-drawn and painted botanical illustrations. I created these illustrations in my sketchbook while on hikes around Oregon and walks in my Portland garden. I included each plant’s common and scientific name, hand-lettered in modern calligraphy.
Hand-drawn in ink pen, painted with watercolor.
Size: 8” x 10” ready to frame
