Rosehip botanical illustration print
I sketched this rosehip in the late summer during a break at an event at the Oregon Convention Center. I found the rosehip in their enormous rain garden and sat beside it crouched on a large rock. This Rosehip is the only illustration in this collection that I drew with colored pencils, instead of watercolor.
From my new collection of eight hand-drawn and painted botanical illustrations. I created these illustrations in my sketchbook while on hikes around Oregon and walks in my Portland garden. I included each plant’s common and scientific name, hand-lettered in modern calligraphy.
Hand-drawn in ink pen, illustrated with colored pencils.
Size: 8” x 10” ready to frame
