Trillium botanical illustration print
Trillium is just magical to me. Appearing on the forest floor in the awakening spring, these trilliums are native to Oregon’s Mt. Hood area (which is where I sketched this specimen). It had already flowered, but the tri-leaf structures remained even on a hot day in June, when I came across this beauty.
From my new collection of eight hand-drawn and painted botanical illustrations. I created these illustrations in my sketchbook while on hikes around Oregon and walks in my Portland garden. I included each plant’s common and scientific name, hand-lettered in modern calligraphy.
Hand-drawn in ink pen, painted with watercolor.
Size: 8” x 10” ready to frame
