I sketched this Pacific Ninebark from one I planted in a lush corner of my backyard. I love the shape of these leaves, which shimmy and twist on their stems in the breeze.
From a collection of eight botanical illustrations that I created in my sketchbook while on hikes and in my garden. Hand-drawn and painted in watercolor, each plant is identified with its common name in Modern Calligraphy, and its scientific name in Latin.
